US River Map: I made a Retina 5K Wallpaper from USGS data

Visual Map of River Flow in the US

If you like maps like I do this desktop is for you . Originally, I saw a flickr image from Nelson Menar, but I wanted something much larger so… I went over to his vector tile project at github.com and used files from there. Special thanks to Nelson for putting them online.

This retina 5k wallpaper works great on older iMacs too because the “5K” iMac resolution – 5120×2880 – is just double the older 27-inch iMac’s resolution of 2560×1440)

Also, I think it looks pretty great when you call up Mission Control, in Yosemite Mission Control blurs the desktop out (click to see actual size).
